I noticed that you, my readers, love deep thought-provoking journal prompts to help you with your self-development, so I prepared some more.
Personally, journaling helped me:
– gain clarity on what goals I actually want to pursue
– develop an empowering mindset to support me while taking action towards my goals
– find peace instead of reacting to things that won’t even matter a year from now
– focus on the right action steps I need to take instead of trying out everything and wasting my time on things that don’t matter
You can use these journal prompts for extra motivation for the day, goal-setting, designing your dream life, or just to gain clarity around what it is that you want your life to be like.
While you’re thinking about each journal prompt, let go of all the should’s.
Journal for yourself. What do YOU want? What is YOUR version of an enjoyable life?
Not knowing what you want is still better than pursuing other people’s unfulfilled desires.
If you’re at the point in your life where you have absolutely no clue as to what’s the direction and purpose of your life, I hope these prompts will at least guide you to your next step.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just focus on the next step.
Let go of societal expectations and what you think where you should be by now or what you should want.
Ooh, also, if you’re in your 20s, check out this post on the 20 things every woman in her twenties needs to know. It’s one of my favorite blog posts where I talked a lot about living by other people’s expectations and how to actually live your life by your rules.
Even if you’re in your 30s or 40s, you’ll love that post.
The purpose of these deep thought-provoking journal prompts is to help you dig deeper into yourself and discover the answers that feel authentic to you. No guilt, judgment, or shame.
Let go of everything you think you should be and step into your abundant future.
You are the only person in charge of your life, so live it authentically and make sure you’re living a life that lights you up.
Let’s dive in!
1. Where do I want to be a year from now?
2. What am I willing to do to get there?
3. What’s the simplest next step I can take to get closer to my goal?
If your goal feels overwhelming, focus on the next step, and then the next step, and then the next step.
Don’t put pressure on yourself to do everything at once. Those smallest steps will add up over time so don’t take them for granted. No matter how small they seem at the beginning.
4. How can I make this year better than the last one?
5. How can I make this month better than the last one?
6. How can I make today better than yesterday?
7. If I could achieve only one goal this year, what would it be?
8. What would achieving that goal mean for me?
