Centers in Human Design are the shapes (triangles/squares) in your bodygraph. There are 9 centers in Human Design and each one is a hub for a certain type of energy.
The Head center is the top triangle in your chart and it’s also called the Crown center. If it’s colored in, it means you have a defined Head center. If it’s white, it means you have an undefined Head center.
70% of the population has an undefined Head center.
Undefined centers in Human Design are white in your chart. Those are the areas where we are most sensitive to other people’s energy and we take that energy in. It’s where we can be pulled off track and where we have the most to learn.
Defined centers are the areas where our energy is more fixed, reliable, and operates in a consistent way.
Having a defined center is not better than having it undefined. It’s just different.
Mental pressure of an undefined Head center
The Head center is a pressure center and can be a source of mental pressure.
It shows up as the pressure to:
– figure things out
– find the answer to all questions that come up
– know the right/intelligent/correct answer
– comprehend, understand and make sense of things
The Head center is also a center for inspiration. If you have it undefined, you can be easily inspired. You can find everything inspiring.

The challenges of an undefined Head center
The challenge of an undefined Head center comes when you:
– make other people’s issues your problem and you take it upon yourself to solve them
– become attached to the outcome
– constantly think about things that don’t matter
– try to fix everyone else’s problems
SAVE FOR LATER 🙂
Questions for reflection
– Is this question/issue something you need to solve or is it someone else’s?
– Are you absorbing the pressure from others or observing? Learn to detach from what’s not yours.
– Whose question are you trying to answer?
– Are you trying to answer someone else’s question? Does that question/issue even concern you? Notice when you’re thinking about things that don’t matter to you.
– Do you feel passionate about this or are you trying to solve other people’s problems with this? This may come in handy when you’re creating business offers, products, or services. Notice the difference between you being genuinely passionate about something vs. trying to create offers just because you think you can solve someone’s problem with it.
– Are you under pressure to find the answer?
– Do you even need an answer to this? Trying to make sense of someone’s behavior and getting addicted to finding the answer.
Instead, let things be and let go of the mental pressure to make sense of things or find the correct answer.
Sometimes you just need to accept things for what they are and stop trying to get the answer.
Whatever center you have undefined you can get addicted to what’s not there. Your mind will want to convince you that there’s something missing or that something’s wrong with that. Know that having something defined instead of undefined is just different. There’s nothing to fix.

Lessons and wisdom from an undefined Head center
– Let go of the pressure to pursue every idea that comes to you. Allow yourself to be easily inspired and release the need to pursue all the ideas that come.
– Learn to differentiate what’s yours and what’s someone else’s.
– “I don’t know” is a perfectly good answer to a question you’re not interested in answering.
– Just because you hear a question doesn’t mean that you have to answer it.
Lastly, use your Strategy and Authority in Human Design to know which ideas to pursue and what questions to solve.
If you genuinely don’t care about something, don’t force yourself to find an answer or a solution.
