So you’ve heard all about vision boards, you know about the Law of Attraction and visualization, but how to actually use visualization technique to get what you want? Why do a lot of successful entrepreneurs you’ve heard of visualize their goals each morning? How do they make the Law of Attraction work for them?
In today’s post, I’ll walk you through the benefits of using the visualization technique, how to actually do it and make it work, as well as what to do after you’ve visualized your desired outcome.
Let’s dive in!
1. Benefits of using the visualization technique
“The latest research supports the notion that we have a natural ability to change the brain and body by thought alone, so that it looks biologically like some future event has already happened. Because you can make thought more real than anything else, you can change who you are from brain cell to gene, given the right understanding.”
― Joe Dispenza
The visualization technique will help you get laser-focused on what your goal is. You will see yourself living your desired future and experiencing your desired feelings.
Once you see your goal as an inevitable scenario in the future, it will give you more confidence to take action and do what you need to do to make it a reality.
So to answer why do people use it:
– To make their goals specific and clear. If you want to move to Melbourne, don’t just say ”I want to live in Melbourne”. Be specific so that you know what you’re working towards. What do you see through your kitchen window in Melbourne while you’re making your coffee in the morning? How do you feel? Who is with you? Get into the details.
– For motivation. Use it as a reminder for what you want to achieve. See it as not only possible, but inevitable.
– To build confidence and belief in themselves and their abilities to create what they want. There is no limit when it comes to visualizing your ideal life. Know that what is in your head can also be in your physical reality.
When you see your desires in your mind, you see them as a reality, as a scenario that once it’s in your mind – manifesting it is inevitable.
2. How to use the visualization technique to manifest what you want?
You can utilize a vision board as a reminder of what your ideal life looks like. I have mine as a desktop background. I made it in Canva with 5-6 pictures and affirmations for different areas in my life (dream travel destinations/health/business etc.).
You can also use Pinterest for some extra inspiration. Create a board where you will add photos and quotes that make you feel like what you want is coming to you. You can make that board secret and keep adding inspiring photos as you see them. Spending a few minutes in the morning scrolling through that board will help you feel empowered and like your dreams are on their way to you.
Another great way to visualize can be through affirmations. Get into the habit of saying to yourself that you HAVE that ideal job, that you HAVE the abundance of money, that you ARE in great shape (make sure you use the present tense, not future).
Or even while you’re meditating and taking deep breaths you can imagine yourself working in a nice apartment in your favorite city (or whatever your dream is, there is no limit).
If you have a few minutes extra, you can journal about it. For instance, if it’s morning and you’re currently in your room drinking coffee, you can just close your eyes, imagine yourself where you would like to be right now and write it out as if you are already there.
To make the most out of the visualization technique, describe the whole desired scenario, and tap into the feelings.

3. How to make visualization work?
“If you knew your potential to feel good, you would ask no one to be different so that you can feel good. You would free yourself of all of that cumbersome impossibility of needing to control the world, or control your mate, or control your child. You are the only one who creates your reality. For no one else can think for you, no one else can do it. It is only you, every bit of it you.”
― Esther Hicks
In order to make visualization work, go a step further from your thoughts and into your feelings.
Get in the highest vibration, have the feeling you would have once you achieve your goals. Are you having the biggest smile on your face? Crying tears of joy?
While visualizing, don’t worry about the process of accomplishing your goals, focus on the end result. How does your desired result make you feel?
Feel those feelings with your whole body and soul. Believe that it’s possible. Believe you deserve it. You deserve the best life. You deserve everything you dream of. Now imagine yourself having it all and experience how that would feel.

4. What to do after visualization?
You can’t spend 5 minutes visualizing and spend the rest of the day complaining how you’re not there yet. Feeling frustrated that it’s taking so long.
Instead, take inspired action. Once you’ve prepared yourself and the Universe for what you want in your life, go for it. You’ve seen the end goal, you’ve experienced it in your mind, now you have the drive to put in the work.
Be open for unexpected opportunities the Universe will bring you on your journey now that you’re both on the same frequency and don’t forget the gratitude. Always be grateful for everything you already have. For opportunities that led you to where you are and where you want to get.
Act as if you already are where you want to be. If you want to be a YouTuber, act like one; post videos at least once a week, improve your thumbnails and editing. If you want to be fit, act as if you already are; exercise at least 3 times a week, eat intuitively, drink more water.
Start being the person you want to be. It’s going to happen. Your dream life is already in your vision. Now is the time to get up and live that vision.
You will create the best results when you align your mind and your actions to your desired vision. Just visualizing won’t get you far. Take inspired action, believe that your desired reality is happening, and say ‘yes’ to aligned opportunities coming your way.

Hi Ivana,
This was a very insightful post. Every night before I go to bed, I meditate. Once I’m in bed, I spend 5 minutes visualizing my dream life. I also wake up in the morning and visualize for 5 minutes before getting out of bed. Everyone should try visualizing. Thanks for the great content!

Hi Ivana,
Great post. I just loved it. And from my experience, I can say that visualization technique is amazing. I have used it and found the results. Also when you get what you wanted, is always similar to your visualization. Again thanks for this post.
