Everything starts in your mind. The thoughts you have make you feel a certain way, and then you act based on your emotions and what you THINK is best.
In today’s post, I’ll share with you how to choose your thoughts and master your mind by realizing what’s your point of attraction, overcoming your limiting beliefs and, ultimately, rewriting your story.
#1 figure out your point of attraction
“As our awareness of the world and who we are increases, we will grow to replace our needs with service, fear with love and scarcity with abundance.”
―
Let me ask you two questions.
First question – What’s your dream destination? Where would you like to travel to? No limits, dream big. Where would you LOVE to go right now? Or very very soon.
Now, the second question – What’s stopping you from going there?
I’m going to share my own experience as an example.
I’ve been wanting to go to Paris for as long as I can remember. The excuses I was coming up with were that I didn’t have enough money, it was far from Croatia (27-hour bus ride from my hometown), I was afraid of heights so I couldn’t fly in a plane, etc, etc.
You know, the usual excuses that start with ‘’I don’t have enough…’’ or ‘’I am afraid that…’’
As you can see, the point of attraction is SCARCITY. Now, yes, you could look at this as a Law of Attraction technique, but what I’m focusing on is WORKING ON YOUR MINDSET.
Finally, I went to Paris last year when I made a DECISION that I’m going there. No matter what.
I chose to get rid of all the excuses and be honest with myself. I’m the kind of person that if I want something 100 percent, I’m going to do it.
You have the full power to create your reality and I want you to take full responsibility for it. I want you to recognize your thought patterns and work through them.
You are building your life right now. You are creating this unstoppable and amazing version of yourself and you have to start with unstoppable and positive thoughts, first.
First of all, you have to realize what your point of attraction is. And once you become aware of your thoughts, it becomes easy. It becomes natural.
Next time you think about something you want, think about what thoughts you connect with it. And then check in with your point – ask yourself are you attracting from the point of scarcity or abundance.
Because, if you think that you don’t have enough or that you are not enough, if you’re afraid of failure, you’re not going to feel good because your goal will feel out of reach. And then, you won’t take inspired action to bring you closer to your goal, but you’re going to do things based on fear or feeling desperate.
To work on ways you can choose your thoughts in your day-to-day life, you can start by making a list of things you have in your life. That way you teach your mind to naturally focus on what you DO have. And that’s how you choose your point of attraction. That’s how you choose your thoughts.
And you will start recognizing opportunities and positive experiences come into your life because you’re focused on that.
This is what you need to begin with when you want to create a dream life for yourself. Start with your thoughts.
#2 work on your limiting beliefs
“You don’t know who you are; you just know what they’ve told you about who you are.”
―
Limiting beliefs are the excuses that keep you stuck. It’s the story you’ve been telling yourself for a long time.
You convince yourself that you’re not beautiful enough, smart enough, good enough. Or maybe your parents or people from your childhood convinced you that you’re not worthy and now that’s what you believe.
But is it a fact? Is it true? Or is it just something you’re USED to thinking.
A few months ago I read how men apply for a job when they fulfill only a few requirements, whereas women don’t apply even when they fulfill ALL the requirements. We still think we’re not good enough. We think that no matter what we do, we’re just never going to be good enough and that there’s always going to be someone better than us.
The action step for this part is to start THINKING differently. You can journal about those limiting beliefs that are stopping you to show up. Work through your shyness and discomfort and start to THINK outside of your comfort zone.
If you want to ACT outside of your comfort zone, well, guess what? First, you have to THINK outside of your comfort zone.
Crush those limiting beliefs by facing them. Tell them ‘’NO! You’re not stopping me from creating the best life for myself anymore. I’m doing things my way now.’’
#3 rewrite your story
“Courage is your natural setting. You do not need to become courageous, but rather peel back the layers of self-protective, limiting beliefs that keep you small.”
―
You need to rewrite those limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck.
Next time you think you’re not good enough – I want you to open your notebook. If you’re out, take your phone and write it in your notes. I don’t care if it’s not convenient. You had your whole life creating those limiting beliefs, and now it’s time to start crushing them. I want you to go all in!
Write your limiting belief, for instance ‘’I am not good enough.’’ cross it off, and write a new belief. Your new truth. With all capital letters, write your new belief ‘’I AM good enough.’’
Next, write about the cause of the limiting belief you had. In this case, that you’re not good enough. Who told you that? Why do you think that? Get to the root of your limiting beliefs and realize that those beliefs are not facts. Those beliefs are just someone’s opinions. And you can’t live your life based on what someone else told you.
Start to choose your thoughts that will empower you to pursue your goals and your dream life.
Affirmations to choose your thoughts:
‘’I have all the resources I need to become the best version of myself.’’
‘’I am unstoppable.’’
‘’I am worthy of everything I desire.’’
‘’I am beautiful enough.’’
‘’I am smart enough.’’
‘’Everything I want is within my reach.’’
‘’I am enough.’’
‘’I believe in myself.’’
‘’I choose to see the positive in myself.’’
‘’I choose to focus on the positive.’’
Journal prompts to choose your thoughts:
1. What were your negative thoughts today? What are your negative thoughts lately? What’s positive about those situations? What can you learn from them?
2. What’s your point of attraction when you think about things you want to achieve? Scarcity or abundance? Fear of faith? Is that a fact or a limiting belief you’re used to believing?
3. 10 things you DO have enough money for.
4. 10 things you ARE good at.
5. What is stopping you from being the best version of yourself? Is that really the truth or a limiting belief you’ve repeated so many times that you started believing it?
6. Write 10 current negative beliefs about yourself. Cross them off and rewrite them as positive beliefs (for instance, I am not good enough for that job. >> I AM GOOD ENOUGH FOR THAT JOB.)
Until the next time,
I.

Thank you this is so helpful. I’ll definitely add an abundance list in my journal. I started journaling a few years ago and have also found that journaling on limiting beliefs helps with changing the mindset. I’ve found it takes time to uncover and rewrite the story we tell ourselves.

I love the affirmations. They’re a quick and easy way to boost your mood and reframe a negative situation into a positive one.

This question is GOLD: But is it a fact? Is it true?
When we peel back the layers in that question, we can uncover so many lies (some intentional, others unintentional) that we’ve been told by society and the lies we tell ourselves.
Get rid of the lie, replace it with a truth we can believe and we can live a life of our dreams. I love what you’re sharing here.
